JSE reports 39% increase in nine months net profit

November 14, 2019 Jamaica Stock Exchange Limited (JSE), for the nine months ended September 30, 2019 recorded total revenue of $1.39 billion, a 38% increase when compared to the $1.01 billion booked for the prior year’s similar period. While total revenue for the quarter amounted to $515 million (2018: $339.53 million). Of this: Cess income rose by 50% to $509.28 million relative to $340.17 million the previous year. LASF reports 54% decline in six months net profit

Date: November 14, 2019 LASF recorded for the six months ended September 30, 2019, a total of $1.22 billion in Trading Income; this represented a growth of 12% relative to the $1.08 billion recorded for the comparable period in 2018. For the quarter, Trading Income closed at $630.06 million (2018: $558.14 million), a growth of 13% year over year. Other Income for the six months period amounted to $92.28 million compared to $57.02 million in 2018.
