EU28 recorded current account surplus of €63.5 billion
April 10, 2018 The EU28 recorded a current account surplus of €63.5 billion (1.6% of GDP) in the fourth quarter of 2017, down from a surplus of €67.4 billion (1.8% of GDP) in the third quarter of 2017 and from a surplus of €64.4 billion (1.7% of GDP) in the fourth quarter of 2016, according to estimates released by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.
