U.S. Unemployment Rates Lower in November in 7 states
Date: December 23, 2019 Seven states posted lower unemployment rates in November, while five recorded higher rates for the same month. Unemployment rates remained stable in thirty-eight states and the District of Columbia based on a report by the Bureau of Labour Statistics (BLS). Last year, there were seven states with jobless rate decreases, two states had increases and forty-one states and the District had little or no change. JAMT reports 99% increase in year end net profit attributable to shareholders
Date: December 23, 2019 Jamaican Teas Limited (JAMT) reported a 27% decrease in revenues to total $1.29 billion (2018: $1.77 billion). For the quarter, revenues amounted to $282.07 million (2018: $422.17 million). JAMT highlighted that, “JTL’s fourth quarter revenues from manufacturing operations increased almost 4 percent for the quarter from $272.8 million to $282.5 million due to increased export sales partly offset by lower domestic sales.
