Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) held its Annual General Meeting today, which was hosted by the Chairman, Mr. David McConnell. The meeting began with the usual welcoming and introductions which was subsequently followed by the President’s report.
For the financial year under review, President & CEO, Mrs. Ann-Dawn Young-Sang highlighted that, “ when compared to 2017, the Group achieved record-breaking sales of $62.9 billion and net profit of $2.1 billion which was the first in the Company’s history.” She further mentioned that, “total comprehensive income of $2.1 billion reflects the Company’s drive, focus and execution of core strategic initiatives such as channel expansion into the mobile gaming arena and the kick-off of regional expansion plans.”
There are a few strategic objectives in which the Company will be using for the 2019-2020 financial year, namely:
- Execution excellence
- Building strong relationships
- Market dominance
With respect to the 2019 financial year, there were some highlights to be noted:
- Strong lottery performance
- Horseracing- high increase in revenue
- Increase in sports betting revenue
- The launch of the Mobile Gaming platform
Additionally, Mrs. Young-Sang mentioned the Company’s focus for the immediate future under ‘Building today for tomorrow’:
- Regional expansion
- Interactive/online gaming
- To continue to build Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment (SVREL)
- Technological infrastructure buildout
